Star Portraits with Rolf Harris Series 1 is the DVD release of the hit prime time BBC show. Rolf Harris hosts as each episode a different celebrity sits for the artists. At the end of the programme the celebrity has to choose which portrait to keep for themselves. Series 1 celebrity sitters are: Michael Parkinson, Charlie Dimmock, David Dickinson and Meera Syal. Star Portraits is BBC1's highest watched art show with regular viewing audiences of over 5 million. In addition to the complete first series this DVD release features a 32 page collectors booklet giving more background about the celebrity sitters and the artists who paint them. Also included are 12 short vignettes showing all of the artists constructing their portraits.
