Stanford, a young Kenyan college student, unwittingly buys an antique dagger that wields certain enlightening and out-of-this-world properties. Due to a set of predictable events he loses possession of the dagger to a very dangerous criminal-but something has changed. He now must get it back or risk losing his life! Left with no choice, little time to spare, a sense of adventure and an unlikely helper, Stanford and his friend track down the knife in an attempt to recover it from the criminal. In the process, an accident inadvertently causes worldwide effects that leave, in their wake, colossal destruction and loss of life. What finally follows is more than Stanford had bargained for. As his relationships with family and friends are put to the test, what he gets to see during all this leaves him changed-for good.
