Chronicling the development of New Zealand's foreign policy as it applies to nuclear technology, this account examines intergovernmental negotiation and the expression of popular will in this independent nation. Beginning with post-World War II investigations and continuing through the end of the 20th century, this discussion addresses issues such as nuclear tests in the Pacific, the South Pacific Nuclear Free Zone, nuclear-powered ship visits, and possible peaceful uses of nuclear technology in New Zealand.
