Without a lifetime of journals and the 'Sparks of Memory' that they ignited, important parts of our lives may have been lost! Not only to us but to future generations. We tend to know the names of our most recent ancestors, and we may even have an old box of pictures of them, but most of the time, we can only wonder how they lived, worked, or played. So I take this opportunity to let those who follow me and my wife over the next few generations know that we were real, not just names in a family bible or listed on a family tree. We had real life experiences, and through our journals, we give our descendants a view into their past and hopefully, some insight into how they may wish to shape their future.
