Some stuff you might want to know:

  1. This is the UK version and uses the UK theme song.
  2. This is the edited version- no swearing and no death scene in the second season.

I agree with all the hard core fans that these voice actors aren't as good as the old ones, with the exception of Knuckles, but my theory is if you're familiar with the old Sonic voices you won't like these ones, and if you're knew to Sonic then you may have a thing against him for the way his english dub was delivered by 4kids (old cast may come back in future- that's a long story short). The script was pretty rotten aswell, even for a kids show, wasn't as bad as that Sonic anime movie though, again with the exception of Knuckles and also Sonic in some places.

This'll only be a real bother if you're a huge Sonic fan, but for some reason the quality goes all VCD at some parts

The first Episode is definately the best and has the best actions scenes out of the lot. Sonic's initial interaction with this world parallel to earth foil even Jason Griffith's action from tainting the lovable character that he is, and once again there's very little wrong with Knuckles in this, so he should be pretty popular aswell. Dr Eggman (reverted back to his original name from Dr Robotnik) is also definately a fun villain. So while I now support the “4kids killed Sonic” campaign, and while there wern't as many fun moments as I'd hoped there would be, I still enjoyed bits of this DVD. For an 8 or under child, I'd definately reccomend this, but if you're a hard core fan, get the Japanese version.
