Description

This is the first part of a three part Spanish course for beginners. Following the Year 7 QCA Scheme of Work for KS3 (2000), the course has been written to cover every point on the Scheme of Work, extending this where appropriate to ensure a systematic and coherent introduction to the Spanish language. While giving full emphasis to the four key skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, particular emphasis is placed on grammar, which is introduced in a light-hearted yet rigorous way, and writing and speaking in Spanish. Full vocabularies, both Spanish - English and English - Spanish, are given at the back of the book, together with 12 vocabularies for learning, two per unit. The book may be used by beginners of all ages and assumes no prior knowledge of MFL, although older learners will be able to progress through the material more quickly than the QCA Scheme of Work prescribes. There is an accompanying audio CD set (ISBN 1902984250) and a teacher's book (ISBN 1902984137).
