Dusty's father knows horses, and he knows the wild brumby can't be ridden. But, Dusty, his daughter, knows this horse and the Snow Pony seems to trust her. But, can Dusty depend on the Snow Pony to lead her family and their cattle to a new life in the mountains when their life on the plains is threatened by drought? Alison Lester is an awardwinning writer and illustrator of picture books and young fiction. Alison grew up on a farm, and first learnt to ride as a baby in her father's arms. She lives in the country and rides her horse whenever she can. She believes children need adventures and the freedom to follow their imaginations.
