Author Biography:

Ian Smith is a Barrister, former Clifford Chance Professor of Employment Law at the University of East Anglia and a former ACAS arbitrator. He is also General Editor of the practitioner text, Harvey on Industrial Relations and Employment Law (Lexis Nexis). Aaron Baker, late Associate Professor (Reader) in Law at Durham University, held extensive experience as an employment trial lawyer prior to joining academia. His prestigious career in law saw him write for numerous journals, and on dispute resolution and anti-discrimination under the European Convention on Human Rights and the Human Rights Act 1998. Aaron authored and contributed to six editions of Smith & Wood's Employment Law, and was a good friend to both Ian Smith and Owen Warnock. Owen Warnock is Emeritus Professor of Employment Law at the University of East Anglia and is also a former Partner in the Human Resources Group of Eversheds Sutherland. He is a Contributing Editor to the practitioner text, Harvey on Industrial Relations and Employment Law (Lexis Nexis).
