Description

Based on fieldwork carried out in 1997, Ehlers has updated her study of the effects of economic development on women weavers of San Pedro Sacatepequez, in Guatemala. Ehlers demonstrates that development and commercial growth in the region have benefited men at the expense of women. This title incorporates interviews with many of the women the author studied during the 1970s and 1980s.
