For once I wish I listened to general opinion. I really enjoyed the first Silent Hill movie – it was different, it was all smart scares instead of cheap scares, it was thought provoking, special effects were good, storyline was solid.
Silent Hill Revelation on the other hand, is terribly disjointed, it's like bits of stories here and there that don't quite tie together. While the special effects appear slicker than the first movie (given technology advancements), this movie actually bored me. It's a pity, as I really wanted to like this. My main problem with the movie was the disjointedness of the entire movie. It feels like one scene doesn't tie in to the next very well at all. Pity.
