From the Preface: In so far as one may lay claim to originality for any product of the mind, the author does so for the appended illustrations. Many of them have appeared in her work on the Lookout and Christian Standard. Others were born of the needs of the hour on the platform and in the Bible-class room. They are sent out with the hope that they may help Christian workers, in many fields, to make more luminous the truth as it is in Jesus Christ.
