Author Biography

Martin Waddell has written many award-winning picture books, and his novels for older readers have also received widespread acclaim. Starry Night, the first of his trilogy about the troubles in Northern Ireland, was Winner of the Other Award, runner-up for The Guardian Children's Fiction Prize and shortlisted for The Young Observer Teenage Fiction Prize. He lives in County Down, Northern Ireland.
