This is one movie that you will watch over and over. Directed by martin Scorsese, the Oscar winning director of films such as Taxi Driver, this movie gives you an intimate experience of a Rolling Stones concert as if you were part of the band. Great music and stage performances from the Rolling Stones interspersed with the wit and humour of Jagger, Richards and Woods and the inscrutible silence of Charlie Watts. The extra footage included that was not shown in the cinemas is a mini movie of it's own. At the low price from Mighty Ape this DVD is unbelievable value…half the price my local video shop wanted for it.

Description

Academy Award-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese and the world's greatest rock 'n roll band, The Rolling Stones, unite to bring audiences the musical film event, "Shine A Light," a look at The Rolling Stones, the band that defined the very idea of what a rock & roll band is, live through the eyes of Scorsese.

The group, which formed in London in 1962, distilled so much of the music that had come before it and has exerted a decisive influence on so much that has come after. No stranger to rock concert films ("The Last Waltz"), Scorsese filmed the Stones over a two-day period at the intimate Beacon Theatre in New York City in fall 2006. He assembled an incredible team of cinematographers to capture the raw energy of the legendary band.

With special appearances by Christina Aguilera, Jack White and Buddy Guy, and four Rolling Stones performances not seen in theatres, Shine A Light is a must-own for rock 'n roll fans across generations.

DVD Special Features:
• Premiere Footage: London's Leicester Square
• 4 Additional Songs: Undercover of the Night, Little T&A, I'm Free, Paint It Black
• 15 mins Behind the Scenes Featurette
• Multi-angle viewing options
