Seymour Duncan STR1 Vintage Rhythm Telecaster Neck single coil pickup. Moderate output.
Vintage-correct reproduction of 1950s Tele rhythm pickup. Great for traditional country, country pop, surf, rockabilly, blues, and blues-rock. For all well-balanced instruments. Works equally well with maple and rosewood fingerboards.
The rhythm (neck) pickup in a well-balanced vintage Telecaster compliments the bright twang of the lead pickup with a smooth and open tone, warm lower-mids and airy highs. Comes with a chrome-plated brass cover and waxed cloth hookup cable.
Available in rhythm (neck) position only. The Seymour Duncan STL-1b is the most common match for the lead (bridge) position.
players: Richard Young / Kentucky Headhunters, Doug Pettibone / Lucinda Williams, Nick Hoffman / Kenny Chesney, Adam Gaynor / Matchbox 20, Gilby Clarke / Guns ‘N Roses & Heart, Webb Wilder
LIsten to the STR-1 Neck Clean and the STR-1 Neck Dirty.
User review
“Overall I would have to say this pickup sounds awesome. I anticipated it
being a little hotter in the output department but that can be remedied. Great
pickup, good response, clean sound. Very clean and almost a brown sound at
times. Very vintage sounding to my ear. Seems to be a hardy little pickup. No
problems with any facet of this pickup thus far. Very much worth the money.
I would buy another in a minute.” MS59386419
