The Senedd was designed to be a bridge into the future, emerging from a long historical and political evolution. Designed by architect Richard Rogers, the building rose as the country's distinctive ultra-modern forum, the expression of the people's voices and diversity. This illustrated book by Trevor Fishlock, with photographs by Andrew Molyneux, explores the background to the Assembly's site in Cardiff Bay, and the government in Wales. The photographs illustrate the beauty of the building's architecture: its construction, technology and symbolism. The book is ideal for those with an interest in politics and architecture.

Author Biography:

Author, broadcaster and foreign correspondent, Trevor Fishlock began his career on The Times, and worked as their chief correspondent in India and New York, as well as in Moscow as a bureau chief for The Daily Telegraph. He has reported from more than seventy countries, which has earned him the title of International Reporter of the Year at the British Press Awards. As well as writing about Wales, Trevor has written books about America, Russia, Afghanistan and India.
