Author Biography:

Michelle Darbro has been associated with the Goju system of Martial Arts for over 30 years. She currently holds a Ninth degree Black Belt under Master Joseph Kelljchian in the United States Goju Federation. Ms. Darbro has been teaching karate to people of all ages since 1984. She has taught self-defense for as long as she has taught karate in many venues including corporations, schools, and of course community centers. She holds a B.S. in Physical Education and Wellness. Ms. Darbro is a certified weapons instructor in many traditional Japanese weapons including bo, sai, and nunchaku. She has won awards and accolades in karate dating back to the beginning of her karate career and she's enjoyed working as a fight choreographer on live productions. Ms. Darbro happily admits that teaching is her passion.
