The book, "SBAs for MRCOG-I" is intended for the doctors who are planning to appear in MRCOG part 1 examination. The MRCOG two-part examination is meant for those doctors (undergraduates as well as postgraduates) who wish to pursue their specialisation in obstetrics and gynaecology in the UK. This book is a compilation of nearly 500 SBAs commonly asked in the part 1 MRCOG written examination, which would help in the evaluation of basic and clinical sciences relevant to the subject of obstetrics and gynaecology. Fundamental aspects of all the important subjects related to basic sciences in medicine inclusive of subjects such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and nutrition, pathology, microbiology and immunology, embryology, genetics, biophysics, epidemiology, endocrinology, pharmacology, and obstetrics and gynaecology have been covered. The questions have been covered in accordance with the latest curriculum and examination format as described by the RCOG. Two model test papers comprising of 100 SBAs each would help candidates to estimate their knowledge through self-evaluation.

Author Biography:

Richa Saxena was born and raised in New Delhi, India. After successfully completing her graduation in medicine from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, she pursued her postgraduation in obstetrics and gynaecology from the Delhi University. She was also involved in the WHO sponsored multicentric research study at the eminent All India Institute of Medical Sciences. To further enhance her knowledge in the field obstetrics and gynaecology, she went to the UK to pursue MRCOG. She has a profound passion for writing. Other than this book, she has authored nine medical books related to obstetrics and gynaecology for both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Besides, she has authored several biographies and a fictional novel. She loves to write short fictional stories in her free time. Several articles pertaining to the health care for general public as well as the health care professionals and several articles in the indexed journals have also been written by her.
