These earbuds don't go inside the external canal like the previous Samsung Galaxy buds did, and I find them to be a lot more comfortable and easier to keep clean because of it. They are also smaller which appeals to me as I have smaller ears and the other ones looked too bulky. They have improved the battery capacity and the battery case no longer needs to be clamped shut with a spring release catch (I've had two of these break before as they are made of flimsy plastic and can't be replaced), a massive improvement all round over previous generations.
