"Poor construction"
1 stars"

The surround sound on this item is good for gaming such as counter strike for its surround sound capabilities but the design is flawed. They feel strange while wearing them then broke at the swivel joints on both sides at the same time while wearing them. Good sound, Bad construction. Recommend not buying this item.

"Weak construction"

I'm sorry to report that the construction of this headset is weak. I have tried 2 sets now and both have broken at the swivel point where the earpiece is attached. A real pity as I liked the surround sound quite a lot while gaming and watching DVD's. I hope Saitek take notice and redesign them for the future

"Good sound but poor construction"

The sound quality on these headphones is more than adequate. I have no complaints there and consider it superior to any other combinations I have tried. In terms of comfort it did take me awhile to get used to them. I normally wear a pair of Philips HP170s for listening to music while working and those never caused any problems, but with the Saitek set it started to annoy the top of my head after about an hour's worth of wear. No amount of adjustment helped for that.

My big complaint is the general flimsiness of the joints. Where the headphones joins the head strap there is a plastic swivel joint. Picking them up off my chair and turning them from the flat (They swivel for fitting into the case, I guess) position into a wearable position snapped it without any form of force required.

Now they're useless as you can't wear them with that swivel broken.

At first all looks great. but upon second glance… this is a bad headset.

why? well the soundcard onboard it needs to be installed, and doing so made all my other programs (winamp & WMP) change to the headset as there default driver.

The sound quality wasnt too much better neither so i decided to go back to stereo sound.

The mic works well. thats the only good thing i have to say about this headset.

The thing that has made me throw this away and put on my 50$ no mic panasonic headphones is that this headset causes discomfort. It is so tight that after a while you feel like you are underwater with such pressure on your ears and the top bit is wiry and irritates the top of your head.

overall 1 star, for the mic.. i feel conned out of my money.. but i guess someone will be getting an early birthday present

"Poorly Constructed/Designed Headset"
2 stars"

I found many problems with this headset. It feels cheaply made and it is, because when I put it on, after a few uses, it fell apart (both earpiece parts broke off from the headband). When you take the headset off, it catches and rips out some of your hair and the headset (when the earpieces were still attached) felt very uncomfortable as it clamps onto your head, is too tight and after using it for a few minutes I ended up getting a headache. I didn't get around to properly using it and testing it's sound quality so I can't really review that, but I'm sure it would have been just as bad as the headset itself. I would suggest not buying this headset for the above reasons, and more.
