Description

Luke, the protagonist, is like his Biblical counterpart. They are both Physicians, but Luke cures people by exterminating their enemies. He is an idealist, living in a pragmatic world - in otherwords, a misfit. Luke is a young virile man who needs to be taught about life and there are many who want to teach him. His Odyssey is sexual and violent. His sexual odyssey is not his doing but the murders are. And he argues with himself about their validity.

Author Biography:

I am a Canadian. Canadians are mostly noted in the literary field as critics (Northrup Frye) or documentaries (Oscars for little known subjects that we try to illuminate). Our movies are dreadful - slow moving things full of pregnant pauses where they shouldn't be. But our comedians are pretty good (Norm McFarlane, Martin Short and Jim Carrey) But I digress. I was a Teacher of English in my previous life and I got out just as the modern era of violence, sex and drugs took over. I am a private person and am presently a contented man. But I get angry about Russia and the invasion and the countries that give lip service to helping Ukraine. I spend my time doing as little as possible; reading my favourite authors ( John Irvine, Guy Gavriel Kay, and my all time favourite author - John Steinbeck). A very wise woman once told me (after I had written an autobiography in which there was nothing about myself in it) that what you write about others and events that have happened to you tells us a lot about you. One doesn't need to be bombastic.
