Author Biography:

Francis J. Moloney, S.D.B., is Foundation Professor of Theology at Australian Catholic University, Melbourne. He received the S.T.L. (1970) and S.S.L. (1972) in Rome and the Ph.D. at Oxford University in England in 1976. From 1976 to 1994 he was professor of New Testament at Catholic Theological College, Melbourne, Australia, and in 1993-1994 he was CBAA Visiting Professor at the Ecole Biblique in Jerusalem. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities and a Member of the Order of Australia. He is the author of numerous books including The Gospel of the Lord, Beginning the Good News, and "A Hard Saying": The Gospel and Culture published by Liturgical Press.
