Clarence Henry Reid, better known under his stage name Blowfly, wrote lot of
songs for artists in the soul and funk scene. His second album Running Water
under his own name shows him as a versatile artists with a lot of experience in
writing and producing music. It was just before he went on to create his alter
ego Blowfly and start performing in bizarre costumes. This soul record is a
wonderful start to hear the talent Reid had for singing and writing.
