"Folens Specials! Geography" provides ready-made resource lessons for teachers and students. Each book contains ten topics with detailed teacher's notes that are linked to the National curriculum, scheme of work, 5-14 guidelines and, where relevant, the programmes of study in Northern Ireland and Wales. Resource and activity sheets have been designed specifically for use with students with lower reading abilities. The topics are clearly structured to provide clear learning objectives, background information, starter activities, copiable resource and activity sheets, ideas for plenaries, assessment sheets. The CD-ROMs contain all the activity, resource and assessment sheets in an editable format, enabling teachers to customise them to suit their needs and the ability of their students. Also included is a selection of artwork, which can be used to create new worksheets.
