Description

This title tells the story of an irresistible new duo: Rita, a determined, rather cross and bossy little girl, and Whatsit, the cheeky, playful, philosophical dog with no name. It features charming, spare artwork, full of detail and wit, and delightful dialogues between the two friends. "Rita and Whatsit" is the first title in the series. It is Rita's birthday but she is feeling grumpy, until one of her parcels leaps into the air. After a chase, she unwraps a wriggling...dog. She tries to order it about, and struggles to find a name to suit, but when she decides on Whatsit, the dog responds and the two become firm friends.
