This title tells the story of an irresistible new duo: Rita, a determined, rather cross and bossy little girl, and Whatsit, the cheeky, playful, philosophical dog with no name. It features charming, spare artwork, full of detail and wit, and delightful dialogues between the two friends. When Rita agrees to take Whatsit to school it is on the understanding that the dog stays quiet and hidden.
