Description

This work was originally submitted in completion of a Master's of Science in Strategic Management with Indiana Wesleyan University. While our society demands and should expect protection from sexual offenses, those who have become part of that category need to have opportunity for successful reentry. Our current system is designed to support that balance but often works against the outcome. This work examines the registry through the eyes of Indiana's stipulations which are a reasonable standard of comparison to most other states. It also explores whether higher levels of parole violations for sex offenders falsely inflates recidivism statistics. Hopefully, the writing will give the reader consideration and inspiration to contact their legislators for needed changes in the system.
