The picture quality of this movie is very good, and a slight upgrade when compared with the original Blu-ray (brighter whites, better contrast, and a hair more detail, but at the expense of some iffy colour balance) but nothing earth-shattering, especially if you have the already-fantastic 3D version. However, the new Atmos soundtrack (or 7.1 if you don't have Atmos) is simply amazing, and easily the best Atmos upgrade I have come across yet. It is just better than the Blu-ray in every way. Sony really went to town with the ceiling speakers, right from the opening credits, making it an amazingly immersive and almost hypnotic experience, and this alone makes the disc worth purchasing.
