This research address the relationship between schematic beliefs and the presence of depression symptoms as well as its effect on self-esteem among schizophrenic patients. It was suggested that emotion distress play a significant role in development of positive symptom .The first prediction is that the content of delusions and hallucinations will reflect emotional concerns. The second prediction is that delusions and hallucinations will be maintained by psychological processes that have traditionally been associated with emotional disorders.so this study aimed to address the relationship among these component. Specially, it remains unclear how negative schematic beliefs and emotional dysfunction interact in psychosis. understanding of cognitive and emotional factors relevant to delusions has been accompanied by advancements in psychological treatment.
