"Best game of last year!"
5 stars"

Red Dead Redemption is one of the greatest games of all time. It deals with themes like industrialism, modernism and ultimately “you cant escape your past”. The narrative scope is the best I have seen in a video game. The game is based in 1911 America during the end of the old west, you play as former outlaw John Marston who's family is taken away from him by the government. Marston is forced to travel the western frontier to find his former gang members and kill them. Along the way Marston meets a huge number of interesting character's that make the game more enjoyable.

The voice acting of “Redemption” is amazing, the character's all have southern accents and sound as rough as the land they live in. The outlaws sound horribly and the government agents sound sophisticated and the farmers sound humble. There is an amazing amount of voice actors in this game and they all did a great job of capturing the time period. The real star is the graphics. Horses move like horses move, you shoot somebody in the leg and they limp away, you walk in water and you get wet. This game is incredibly realistic and captures the wild west perfectly. There is so much to do in this game; hunt, play poker, be a bounty hunter, search for treasure, break horses and much more. The game of the year edition comes with all the downloadable content including the “undead nightmare” expansion. This is a version of the game where the world is infested by zombies. If is fun and it is great to se the beloved characters from the original confronting the undead but it is in no way able to mach the masterpiece that is the original game.

I give this game 10/10 and has to be played to believe. When you are watching the sunset on your horse with coyotes howling and tumbleweeds blowing past you will know what I mean…
