When Prometheus, a stable attendant, rescues the Prince of Nehemia from a band of assassins in the land of the Faraways, his life changes in a most dramatic way. Becoming Lord Prometheus plunges him into a world of dark and baffling currents. Just as quickly as they rise to prominence, the king casts Prometheus and his family into the dungeons because of scheming members of the Nobility. To deliver their parents, Parsifal and Shanara-Prometheus' two older children-set off on a Quest to find the Truth and to free their father from charges of high treason. The King of Nehemia has given them forty days to return with the Truth. With the aid of the Lady of the Light, they follow a path, replete not only with perils but also with adventures, which takes them into the Kingdom of Oblivia and to the House of Truth-the sacred Ninth House.
