I bought this game for my daughter but she hasn't had much of a chance to play it yet as I am on it all the time. Love it!

"The next chapter in the Ratchet story"
5 stars"

Best Ratchet and Clank game by far. Gameplay is brilliant, graphics are far superior to anything we've seen before in the series (obviously because of the upgrade to PS3), and this makes the game world seem so much more real. A definite must-buy for all Ratchet fans, and will hopefully entice more players to buy the previous games.

"Big Guns Big Fun!!!"

An impressive number of guns and pure HD graphics. Ratchet and Clank never looked so good. The worlds are lush, diverse and beautiful. Its also easy to play and get used to. Must get!

"Excellent Game, easy to play"

This game is great for anyone of any age. Its easy at the start so you get use to the controls and then slowly gets harder with more options. It has taken up loads of play time and its still interesting. I can see it is aimed at younger people but im still having a great time playing the game and now looking at getting the new version. Awesome.

"Greatest Yet"
4 stars"

this Ratchet and Clank is so far the best one ( at least till the next one )

it has great new features with the addition of the Zoni that throughout the game upgrade Clank.

It is a Great story line with plenty of little twists to keep you interested and wanting more.

unfortunitly at the end it is a very quick game to get through and it leaves you wanting more.

"Good"
5 stars"

It's not often a game franchise such as the Ratchet and Clank series goes down in smoke…The game isn't incredibly flawed–thank god! But it's still pretty clunky compared to the previous four…Yes, including Deadlocked.

Graphics – 9/10 The graphics in this game are amazing. This game uses the new PS3 graphics system to it's full potential. However…I found they didn't fit the style of the previous games. This isn't necessarily the amount of detail, but rather the way the terrain looked, and sometimes the textures used.

Gameplay – 6/10 The gameplay is flawed in more than several ways…My first gripe is the slowness in Ratchet's movement. It took me about a week to get used to the slower Ratchet, especially since I was playing UYA non-stop before I bought TOD. I also hated the new Shoulder-Cam…It made it hard to aim effectively, and sometimes it kept me from looking at the beautiful scenery. I also found the bosses to be extremely easy, even in challenge mode, and being a hardcore gamer, when the game goes easy on me, I get extremely pissed. I also found the lack of online disappointing…I bought this game looking forward to being able to play competitively, but for some reason, they took it out.

Level Design – 8/10 Once again, the levels just don't seem like the classic Ratchet and Clank…They're too linear, and unlike the previous R&C games where you can choose different planet paths, this game doesn't EVER offer an alternate world. I also found a lot of the levels to be too big, and oftentimes I found myself bored of the same scenery or theme.

Weapon Design – 3/10 I never thought I'd say this about a Ratchet and Clank game, but I think this game would be better off with just the OmniWrench…And come to think of it, they even messed up the OmniWrench. There isn't much variety, and a lot of them are just rip-offs of old R&C weapons. They didn't even include any sniping weapons, and I'm extremely surprised they didn't provide an incarnation of the Visibomb…

Music – 5/10 David Bergeaud didn't seem to have his old style seen in the previous games…Most of the music in this game was ambient, and sometimes it didn't seem to go well with the surroundings.

Playability – 10/10 Thanks to the massive amounts of skillpoints, and plenty of hidden collectibles, and the series-famous challenge mode, you should have no problem with finding fun replaying… It would take upwards of 96 hours to get everything in this game.

Recommendation – Buy A good buy, but If you don't feel like dishing out blood money, rent it. You may have to rent twice though…

"Just gets better and better..."

There's no way to describe this game.

If your a fan of Ratchet & Clank, you will love this game to death. There's loads of upgrades, unlockables, this to acquire – the specified rare bolts as usual and Challenge mode for extra difficulty and more upgrading.

This is without a doubt the best platforming game out at the moment and shouldn't be missed. For fans of Ratchet & Clank, platforming games but also good for the family…

10/10

"One of the best Ratchet and Clank games! :D"

This game has some of the most awesome weapons i have ever seen in any game. My favorite being the all mighty RYNO IV. As well as that there are also loads of skill points to achieve, gold bolts to find and tournaments events to win which increase the replay value of the game.

In fact once you completed the game once, you get to play the game in challenge mode which allows you to earn more bolts and upgrade your weapons to the Omega weapons which are way more powerful that the normal upgraded weapons. Also the game is more harder and challenging, hence challenge mode.

Along with a interesting and funny story and some high quality graphics, especially in HD. Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is a must have for any Ratchet and Clank fan, as well as any platforming game fan. :D

"One of the best PS3 platinum titles"
5 stars"

Insomniac always seem to pump out great titles for the PS3, and this is no exception. The game looks great, and delivers plenty of satisfying gameplay to boot.

The number and variety of weapons and items is impressive, particularly when the depth of upgrades is taken into account. The game is also well paced, with a good balance struck between basic platforming and all-out boss battles. For a first outing on a new system, replay value is impressive, with the ability to replay the game at a harder difficulty, but with all your upgraded weapons intact, extending its life well.

Difficulty is not demanding, but challenging enough to keep most people entertained. The game still remains accessible to younger players.

If you enjoyed the previous games then this is without question a must-have. Anyone else should still get their money's worth, unless they particularly hate platformers.

"IMPRESSIVE LOOKING GAME!!!!!!!!!!"
4 stars"

The Good: Shooting and platforming gameplay is fun Lots of different and useful weapons Beautiful, colorful visuals Tight controls.

There's some good humor in it, but the story isn't very interesting, and the ending is a letdown So many different, often unnecessary gameplay mechanics that the game lacks an identity Difficulty is too easy and only the last hour or so is remotely challenging.
