Description

Random Thoughts of a Soulless Child: The Autobiography of Tony Christ, chronicles the life and transformation of Tony Christ from childhood in the rough streets of Sugarhill through his sadistic experiences imprisoned in some of America's roughest prisons; as well as his rebirth as a scholar, youth mentor, activist, spoken word artist, and author. It (The Autobiography on Tony Christ) is centered on him being an angry, poor and violent black youth unaware of the dynamics and social engineering that perpetuates black criminalization, which in turn costed him in circa, 15 years of his life in a cage. His life, not only tells the story of an individual; it also tells the story of so many young brothers like tony who have been misguided, ignored, and demonized by society. His life, his struggles with being a black man in an extremely racist institution, his pain, and his compassion for oppressed people has produced a very inspiring story and stalwart figure.

Author Biography:

Raised in Harlem New York and breast fed by the rough streets of Sugarhill Harlem, Anthony was an inspiring cartoon artist, who enjoyed perusing the minds of great African poets and writers. But like so many young black males trapped in the squalid realms of ghetto life, while at the same time struggling to understand manhood without a father; Anthony became another prey to the vultures of the street life. As a result, it cost him over a decade imprisoned in America's prisons in upstate New York. It was there that Anthony spiritually, intellectually, and politically transformed himself into a scholar, teaching /facilitating cultural awareness classes in various maximum security prisons. Since his release, he has been very active in his community. He was a part of "World Youth Movement for Global Peace" at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn New York, where he majored in Psychology. Anthony also utilized his gift of writing poetry and became one of the hardest spoken word poets from Harlem. In the service of creating pertinent dialogue and inspiration for black youth, Anthony has written an AUTOBIOGRAPHY entitled: "Random Thoughts of a Soulless Child."
