Author Biography

Marilyn Lichtman has taught courses in qualitative research for over 15 years. She also has a background in quantitative methods that will facilitate comparisons between the two methodologies. She serves on the editorial board of Forum: Qualitative Social Research [On-line Journal] and The Qualitative Report. She has co-authored a book for American School Counselor Association (1990) entitled The Best for Our Kids: Exemplary Elementary Guidance & Counseling Programs. She has also conducted numerous qualitative research studies for Cities in Schools (programs for at-risk high school students) and the Department of Defense Education Agency (schools at military installations worldwide), among others.
