Now I've always been a FIFA fanboy, but I played the demo for the new Pro Evo and was amazed by its technical brilliance. To put it short, I thought it was more fun and realistic than FIFA.
Once I bought the real game, I began to see it's true brilliance. The graphics (character and stadium likenesses) are absolutely spot on, and really add a sense of authenticity.
This, coupled with the fully licensed UEFA Champions League and many liscensed teams, means it is visually stunning.
And while the Premier League only features two teams (United and Liverpool), you can use the game's built-in edit functions to make other teams look just like their real-life counterparts.
Personally, I think PES2010 beats FIFA on gameplay, graphics and pure fun-factor. While FIFA has better licenses and online play, a hardcore football fan would find PES hard to beat this season.
5/5 – Seabass have upped the ante this year, and have produced a stunning game of footy. Buy it!
