Ashley "Cocoa" Downing is a widowed mother of two children. Born in Fort Polk, LA and fourth youngest of my mother's five children. I spent my school aged years living between Louisiana, Texas, Alaska, and Georgia. Most of my adult years were spent living back and forth between Texas and Louisiana although currently I reside in Killeen, Texas. I have dreamed of writing and publishing a book for many years and when the opportunity presented itself, I jumped on it. I took a break from the regular 9-5 workday to focus on finishing up my degree in Social Work and to finish writing this book. The inspiration for this book has come from many of my own personal experiences and the characters are relatable because they are all derived from real people in some aspects. My favorite thing to do when I have some alone time is read. I love reading and I love listening to R&B music. I plan to write a sequel to Pretenders Game in the future, so I hope you all enjoy this story!
