Author Biography:

David Adam was born in Alnwick, Northumberland and wasÿthe Vicar of Lindisfarne where he ministered to thousands of pilgrims and other visitors for thirteen years until he retired in March 2003. He is the author of many inspiring books on spirituality and prayer, and his Celtic writings have rekindled a keen interest in our Christian heritage. Brought up in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, Nick Fawcett served as a Baptist minister for 13 years, and as a chaplain with TocH for 3, before deciding to focuson writing and editing, which he continues with today, despite wrestling with myeloma, an incurable cancer of the blood. He lives in Wellington, Somerset, with his wife, Deborah, and - when they are at home from university - his two children, Samuel and Kate. Delighting in the beauty of the West Country, Nick and Deborah love nothing more than walking stretches of the South West coast path at weekends, and Nick - as well as finding time for online games of chess and Scrabble alongside his many editing commitments - finds constant inspiration for his numerous books in the lanes and footpaths near his house. His aim, increasingly, is to write material free of religious jargon that reaches out to people of all faiths and none. A teacher by profession, Susan Sayers was ordained a priest in the Anglican Church, and before retirement her work was divided between the parish of Westcliff-on-Sea, the local women's prison, writing, training days, and retreats. Ray Simpson's daily prayer tweet @praycelticdaily profiles him as A Celtic New Monastic for Tomorrow's World. He is the Founding Guardian of the international Community of Aidan and Hilda (a dispersed inter-church movement which is also an Acknowledged Anglican Community). Ray is an Anglican priest who was commissioned to work for Free and Roman Catholic churches in a unique experiment. He has authored over 30 books of contemporary worship, Celtic spirituality and prophetic challenge. He lectures and offers leaders' retreats in several continents and on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
