Poppy desperately wants to be entered for the ballet exam. But when a new girl arrives in class, she's distracted and makes a mess of her dance routine. Poppy is convinced she's failed, until a little help from her friends means her wish might still come true.

Ann Bryant is the author of three successful series for young girls: The Cafe Club, Make Friends With and Step-Chain, currently in production with ITV. As a child, dancing was her passion and she brings an inside knowledge of the world of ballet to her writing.
