Based on confidential interviews this collection of ten essays examines Poland's place and prospects as it prepares to enter the European Union. Poland became a full member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation during 1999 and is due to join the European Union in June 2004. This book explores the country's relationship in the Transatlantic alliance, particularly with it's allies America, France, Germany, Britain and the Ukraine.
