Description

Poems of spiritual insight that reflect personal experience, often expressed in concepts from Eastern metaphysical philosophy as well as with interfaith concepts and ideas about our common humanity. Written by a student of yoga and Indian spiritual thought since the mid-1970s, and influenced by studies at an interfaith seminary since having been ordained as an interfaith minister in 2011. A good number of these pieces in rhyming verse, while some, like the "Conscious Constitution" may not really qualify as a poem at all, though it certainly takes poetic license in combining Eastern spiritual concepts with a sort of a mash-up of elements of the Constitution of the United States, and the Gettysburg Address. These renderings are gleaned from life, as expressions of personal-mostly inner-experience. They reflect themes, events, and musings that became so strong as to bid the author to commit them to this form, and now to share them with readers.
