The characters of thirty something Munni, forty something Mangala and Fifty something Maggie undertake a tussle of love, hope and disappointment in their relationship with the same man in this farce. Women explore their funny take on life, and their circumstances, and in doing so frankly exposing their biases towards each other's choices. This cocktail of Desi identity merges rural-urban-cosmopolitan ethos of South Asian women's resilience and survival and still keeping their cheer. This play is the first in a series on satires on relationships with Women characters from the Indian Sub-Continent.

Author Biography:

Shweta Singh is an academic who lives in Chicago.. Her scholarship focus is identity in working women from South Asia. She brings to her writing, her expertise with research, policy, and narrative analysis work. Her commitment is to make South Asian women a reference point for womanhood and showcase their resilience and cheerful spirit in face of dire odds, which does not get represented in popular literature or academic scholarship. She has also published her collection of Hindi/Urdu poetry.
