Science behind the ingredients

Citrulline Malate
This amino compound converts to L-arginine in the body, feeding directly into the NOS-NO pathway and stimulating NO production for enhanced nutrient delivery and pumped muscles. But that’s not all; citrulline can also help conserve glycogen, reduce breakdown and shift muscles from aerobic to anaerobic metabolism, which helps reduce ATP and phosphocreatine depletion, helping accelerate its replenishment in the muscle. This means the muscles have more energy to go longer and train harder.

Betaine
Betaine works to help protect the pathways of protein synthesis, resulting in increased lean muscle mass and improved overall body composition, along with improved performance including increases in both strength and power! Betaine has also been shown to enhance nitric oxide production quickly, after just one week of supplementation.

Glycerol
Glycerol is a hyper-hydrating molecule that pulls water and muscle-building nutrients into muscle cells for inflated muscle pumps and endurance support. Research suggests there are positive effects of glycerol supplementation for maintaining hydration when consumed prior to a workout.

Beet Root
This natural source of nitrates has extreme vascular influencing effects, supporting NO production via the nitrate-nitrite-NO pathway, which, unlike the arginine-NOS pathway, requires oxygen. PUMP FREAK™ delivers the exact research dosed amount of pomegranate extract shown to help support NO levels in the blood, blood flow and delay muscle fatigue. Pomegranate extract works to support recovery from workouts, including reducing post-workout muscle soreness and weakness.

Agmapure (Agmatine)
Agmatine helps upregulate eNOS in the endothelial cells that line the walls of blood vessels. By supporting the activity of eNOS, agmatine can help boost NO production in blood vessels, and this means blood flow and greater muscle pumps and nutrient delivery!

Red Wine Extract
Red wine extract delivers active polyphenols that can help promote vasorelaxation of blood vessels, blood flow and nutrient delivery to working muscles. Red wine extract also provides antioxidant activity, reducing circulation of molecules that can cause muscle damage.

Hesperidin
This natural vasorelaxant works by reducing the activity of phosphodiesterase enzymes PDE5, PDE4 and PDE1, which are enzymes that work to degrade cyclic GMP. Reducing degradation allows for relaxation of blood vessels of the muscle.

Amentopump (Spikemoss)
Spikemoss, also known as Selaginella tamariscina extract, contains the active component amentoflavone, which is an antioxidant free radical scavenger. Research suggests that spikemoss acts directly on phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), reducing the activity of this enzyme and supporting vasorelaxation, independent of NO production.
