Author Biography

Tony Mitton is a Smarties Prize winner. He is a highly-respected poet, and has written many titles for children, including the picture books illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees: All Afloat on Noah's Boat!, Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus!, Down by the Cool of the Pool, Spookyrumpus (winner of the Sheffield Book Prize, the Dundee Book Award and the Portsmouth Book Award) and Come to Tea on Planet Zum-Zee. He spends his time writing, giving poetry performances and visiting primary schools. Tony lives in Cambridge. Guy Parker-Rees exuberant and energetic illustrations are instantly recognisable and much-loved. He was described in the Rough Guide to Children s Books as being One of the most exciting young artists in the children s book world. Guy s illustrations include Giraffes Can t Dance and K is for Kissing a Cool Kangaroo. Guy lives in Brighton.
