Description

Fascinating vintage images and glorious colour photographs bring to life the rich history of the Keystone State in "Pennsylvania Yesterday and Today". Come and explore the life and cultures of the birthplace of a nation. From early Native American tribes, to the arrival of William Penn; the battle of Gettysburg, the signing of the Constitution, Dutch Country, Amish settlements, the steel mills that laid the foundations of industrial muscle to make the nation work, the birthplace of a new democracy, the world-famous Penn State College - here is this whole state as it was then and as it is now: town and countryside, city skylines, landmark sights and scenes, a tour of living history at it's most compelling.
