The year 2007 had been a traumatic year for the three partners of local law firm, Belfield solicitors, Maurice Stone & Price. The events that had occurred over that shortness of time had been unusual to say the least... unusual that is for a firm of small-town solicitors not used to so much excitement in their lives! Some less resilient souls would have called it traumatic... or even mind blowing, using the language of the times. Certainly, the way events had unfolded had been far from the norm for those trying to practice law in this small parochial Yorkshire town. Having said all that, sometimes the head must take over from the heart. Well, so the three partners in the firm had hoped... positive thinking being a must at this, the most stressful of times.
