A highly contagious virus with a one hundred percent mortality rate has been unleashed on the world. Officials have traced the virus to pangolins sold in the black markets of Asia and Africa. These officials are clueless, however, to the fact that the virus isn't completely of natural origin. No, the deadly component of this contagion was engineered by a rogue human reincarnation of the ancient Norse gods. This means that Ditch and his band of vessels are the only people on the planet with a chance to find an antivirus. If only it were that simple.On the very day that people showing symptoms of the pangovirus began overwhelming hospitals all over the world, Ditch was accidentally whisked away to an Earth in a parallel universe. He was replaced by an unsuspecting doppelgänger from the alternate Earth.
