Description

Cody Houston is a complex, gritty, rugged Navy Special Forces veteran putting his violent past behind him after spending some years on the wrong side of the law working for people he wants to forget about. Turns out, he has an assortment of personality conflicts and brooding neurosis that make him difficult to like but he is loyal, fearless, and the right guy to have for a friend if you are in a bad situation. In his new endeavors, he is seeking to spend his time now making it as a businessman and riding his motorcycle, fishing, scuba diving, and enjoying the small town Florida lifestyle with a new lady in his life. In Palmetto Pardon: A Cody Houston Series Novel, Russian gangsters seek control of a family-owned marina as a front for their drug dealing and counterfeiting operations. They assume it will be an easy takeover working through the local banker they have in their pocket. The owners happen to be on the short list of people that Houston calls friends, however. Once he hears about the attempted takeover, Houston sets out working in the background anonymously to set things right and bring the mobsters' world crashing down on them. The action is furious, the deception is fierce, and the end result is violent and dramatic. Jerome Stewart has written a page-turning action-adventure mystery that's also full of humor, romance, friendship, and human redemption. It's a good fit for nearly any reader who is looking to relax with an escapist Florida lifestyle novel with boating, motorcycling, fishing and savage confrontational action and drama.
