Hello there! I am Brian James, your Canadian writer from Russia. Confusing already? I was born on the 24th of January 1990 in Moscow, to a Canadian couple who had immigrated to Russia. I was raised in Moscow till 2001, when I returned to my 'maple' roots. As Canadian as I am, I still feel fairly Russian too! Academia was always a sore spot for me, since I was not all that fond of mathematics or science, and history was incredibly alien to me. The only things that interested me were sports and reading. Thanks to my mom, who taught me how to read as soon as I could make out the alphabet, I developed a voracious appetite for literature and simultaneously for fitness. Along with these passions, I love food. I enjoyed learning about food and its effects on the human body. I yearned to combine fitness and food, so with great pleasure I enrolled in the University of Prince Edward Island in Charlottetown to pursue a degree in Food and Nutrition. Today, I have joined my three obsessions together: food, fitness, and prose, to present to you my books, which detail everything you'll ever need to know about each topic.
