Author Biography:

Deborah Stevenson's children's books have won numerous awards, including Next Generation Indie Book Awards Best Children's Non-Fiction Book for Soaring Soren: When French Bulldogs Fly, Best Children's Animal Book, Feathered Quill Book Awards, for Oy, Elephants! and Best Children's Animal Book and Best Early Reader, 2019 Feathered Quill Book Awards for her first chapter book, The Last Rhino. Stevenson has a passion for animals, and loves sharing that passion with children. Her stories encourage children to be both passionate and compassionate--to pursue in their dreams and believe in their abilities to make a positive difference in the world, and to be caring and kind to themselves and others. A mom, former literature major and technical writer, children's books have proven the perfect outlet for Deborah's interests. Currently a product marketing manager, she lives in New Jersey with a few too many dogs, but wouldn't trade any of them, and enjoys training for and competing in the sport of dog agility.
