Anthony Buckley was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, in 1976. His family soon moved to Texas, where they settled down in Cleveland. He attended school there until graduating in 1995. He then continued to college, where he met the love of his life. They exchanged vows in an unofficial ceremony in the hill country outside Austin. The next day while on their way to their honeymoon, they were run off the road by a drunk driver, causing the death of his spouse. The pain of that loss caused him to seek advice from an aunt who was a psychologist. She told him to write his feelings down. Thus began his poetry writing. His work is from experiences in his life or the lives of his loved ones. After years of moving, he settled down back in Cleveland, Texas, where heas a single father battling cancer. Five percent of his profits from this book will go to the American Cancer Society for cancer research.
