It's what I needed, a clear protector for an A5 sheet without the strip of binder holes down the side, and cheaper than anywhere else I have seen them. (sept 2023) Not sure about this “Extra weld at the bottom of pocket for strength”, basically the seam allowance from the front is folded over and welded to the back, forming that bottom edge. The other sealed side of the “L” is just the material fold. Note that the bottom seam allowance does not meet the folded side, and where the weld doesn't have seam allowance it is somehow stuck to the front so there's a tiny bit where my sheet won't go. This means either my sheet rests on top of the weld about 5mm from the bottom edge, or my page sits in line with the seam allowance end about 6mm from the sealed side. Either way the A5 page is still covered (except for a cut out in the right side front which I think is to allow easier grip/opening), just it could do a little bit of damage to that bottom corner of your sheets over time – relevant to me because I'm using them to display art examples for a craft market stall.
